A little history of Jagannath Temple:
The Jagannath temple at Puri was built by Chodaganga, an eternity of the Ganga dynasty, in the 12th century. Anantavarman was a Shivayak who later became a Vaishnava, after which he built this temple. Jagannath Dham is one of the four dhams of Hinduism. The other three dams are Badrinath Dham in the Himalayas, Dwarka on the west coast, and Rameshwaram in South India. Vishnu Dev travels to these four dams according to the rules, in which he eats at the Jagannath temple. In the temple of Jagannath Dev, Jagannath Dev lives with his grandfather Balbhadra and his sister Subhadra. Puri has a different history. According to Hinduism, Puri is one of the seven holy cities. In ancient times the name of Orissa was Utkal. Which was an important place in terms of maritime trade and commerce. Besides, this place was also known as Purushottam Kshetra, Nilanchal, Nilgiri, and Jagannath Puri.
